Rev. Rebecca Lynn Minor, Pastor

Pastor Becca grew up in Hampton Roads and graduated from Woodside High School in Newport News in 1999. She attended Shenandoah University for undergrad where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 2003. Becca then attended Duke Divinity School of Duke University where she received her Master of Divinity in 2006.

Becca began her ministry in her first appointment at a two-point Charge in Montross Virginia (Edgewater UMC and Andrew Chapel UMC). She served them faithfully for 5 years. In 2011 she was ordained as an elder. She received her second appointment also in 2011 (Heathsville UMC) she was pastor there for the past 9 years.

Becca is married to her husband Rodney and together they have 4 children: sons Austin (23) and Ethan (18) and Daughters Dakota (24) and JeyLynn (10).

Kelly Wright, Music Director

Kelly Wright has served as music director of TMUMC since January of 2011. She has been an active musician and music educator in the Tappahannock/Northern Neck area since 2010. Her worship music foundation was laid at her home church, the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, NJ, singing in youth choirs and ringing handbells. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Master of Music degrees from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University. She taught choir, guitar, and piano at Westmoreland High School in Montross for 11 years. As a freelance musician, Kelly teaches privately, and performs acoustic vocal/guitar music at local establishments in the area.  

Beth Harvey, Pianist

Beth Harvey was a Music Education/Piano Major at JMU and earned her Master’s Degree from VCU in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Technology Integration. She taught music in Chesterfield County for 24 years and worked 11 years in Instructional Technology. Beth retired as the Manager of Instructional Technology for Chesterfield County Schools  in 2017 and moved to Tappahannock where she currently teaches Music and Drama at St. Margaret’s School. She accompanies many school, community, theater and church groups and soloists around the Richmond and Tappahannock areas and has been involved in church music her entire life.

Rachel Hundley, Administrative Assistant

Rachel is a lifelong Virginian and United Methodist Preacher's kid. She attended Mary Washington College where she received a BS in psychology and  has spent her career in social work/nonprofit management. She currently works as a Substance Use Counselor for Pinnacle Treatment Centers. Rachel lives in Tappahannock with her daughter CaraLee and their Australian Shepherd, Cinch.
